Privacy Fence in Richardson, TX

According to a 2021 study by the International Casual Furnishings Association, nearly 90% of Americans say that having an outdoor space to enjoy as part of their home is more important than ever. In fact, demand for outdoor living spaces has been on the rise for years, due largely to pandemic conditions and the stay-at-home movement. Often, these outdoor living spaces include privacy fences, which provide both home and business owners with protection, privacy, safety, and even noise cancelation.

As a fencing contractor in the Dallas area, you probably already know how popular privacy fences have become. You also know that building and maintaining those privacy fences are of utmost importance. After all, craftsmanship still matters these days. The buzzy Richardson CityLine complex has signed on two new restaurant tenants, slated to open in the fall: Manny’s Mexican Kitchen and authentic Chinese concept Show Mini Hot Pot.

Details below:

Manny’s Mexican KitchenDallas chain known for its Tex-Mex, cocktails, and lively atmosphere, served at breakfast, brunch, happy hour, and dinner, will open at 150 State St. The menu features authentic Mexican flavors, including a variety of vegan-friendly options. Vegan is good.

A release calls this the fifth location — part of a chain that has a confusing name situation. The other four locations — North Dallas, Lakewood, Sachse, and Heath — go by Manny's Tex-Mex, while the website still refers to Manny's Uptown, an original branch that closed in 2019.

Manny’s Mexican Kitchen general manager Jorge Rodriguez says in a statement that “CityLine’s lively atmosphere and welcoming mix of people make it the ideal home for us."

"Our colorful space is the perfect backdrop for enjoying handcrafted cocktails and traditional homemade Mexican and Tex-Mex," Rodriguez says. "We’re proud to bring our commitment to authenticity and quality, using only the freshest ingredients to craft dishes that are both delicious and memorable."

Show Mini Hot PotAuthentic Chinese street food restaurant was founded China, then opened its first U.S. location in the vibrant city of Flushing, NY in 2011. Now they're making its Texas debut at CityLine.

Show is so authentic that half of its website is in Chinese. But the English part says that Show Mini Hot Pot (Xiu Haifu) is all about build-your-own bowls and one pot per person. So it allows diners to do an individual version of the hotpot experience, which is ordinarily a group/communal thing.

You select your ingredients from a refrigerated wall — meat or veggies, you decide, from a selection that includes beef, lamb, chicken, seafood, fresh vegetables, then add it to broth, whose options seem to be their golden broth, and mala tang, a spicy and "numbing" broth.

They also have Mala Dry Pot, which has no broth; and fried skewers.

CityLine is expanding eastward across State Street with the growth of Image Studios, a Salt Lake City-based salon suite brand that first opened in 2021, who are now adding 38 studios for hair, skin, nails, massage, and more.

“Manny’s Mexican Kitchen, Show Mini Hot Pot, and IMAGE Studios each add a distinct energy to Cityline,” says CityLine marketing director Marissa Gonzalez. “These openings reflect CityLine’s continued commitment to offering diverse dining and lifestyle experiences that meet the needs of our growing community, foster connections and make CityLine a true destination in North Texas.”

Did you know that Honeywell's site in Richardson, Texas, was the location of NASA's first two-way radio broadcast? This piece of history speaks to the site's long-standing tradition of excellence in sensing technology.

Founded in the 1960s as Spectronics, our site in Richardson has been a cornerstone in the development of advanced sensor technologies. Since 1984, teams at this facility have been fabricating sensors based on semiconductor microelectromechanical technology systems (MEMS) technology.

The Richardson site is one of Honeywell's two semiconductor wafer fabrications, producing sensor engines for Sensing and Safety Technologies. Fabrication can take up to 500 days!

The products designed, manufactured and tested here are used in healthcare settings -- helping people breathe as part of ventilators or CPAP machines, or they may deliver fluid to patients in infusion pumps or monitor blood pressure. They are also used in avionics, heavy transportation equipment and even in some devices you interact with on a regular basis, like HVAC systems.

“Working in semiconductor manufacturing is fascinating due to the complexity of building products with dimensions smaller than a human hair,” said Troy Sterk, Director of Integrated Supply Chain Operations at the Richardson site. “Also, the opportunity to work with some of the smartest people in the world, who can design products to measure pressure using rare materials to provide electrical signals for customer products, is incredibly rewarding.”
